TINESIA CONWRIGHT
Tinesia Conwright, Author, Speaker, Consultant
Equipped 2 Excel, LLC is a dynamic workforce development training and consulting company dedicated to inspiring nonprofit executives, youth, and young adults. Our mission is to foster leadership and personal growth, helping clients unlock their potential and achieve excellence at every career stage.
Led by Tinesia Conwright, a passionate community leader with extensive experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, Equipped 2 Excel focuses on uplifting women and girls. Growing up in Southeastern San Diego, at the age of 15 Tinesia found her purpose as a member in a youth dance group, igniting her lifelong commitment to social change and youth empowerment.
Tinesia’s dedication led her to found DETOUR (Depositing Empowerment Through Outreach & Urban Redevelopment), which has empowered over 2,000 girls of color since 2009 through the FANCY (Focused And Naturally Confident Youth) programs. Her work opens doors to higher education and meaningful careers, inspiring girls to believe in their potential.
REWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS FLAIR
Through initiatives like The All About Girls of Color (AAGOC) Collective and her book “Find Your Flair!,” Tinesia continues to inspire students to discover their Future Leadership Attributes Inspiring Resilience (FLAIR), fostering confidence and a drive for positive change. Her work has garnered numerous awards, reflecting her profound impact on the lives of young people.
Fast forward to today, Tinesia’s dedications to empower teen girls through academic achievement, leadership development, confidence building, and various engaging, hands-on workshops have not gone unnoticed. To date, she has gained numerous rewards and recognitions for her above and beyond commitments to optimize girls of color for full-scope leadership success. Those include:
